Earlier, while responding to question from the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley account asking users about their preference between mute and the block feature, Musk had noted that blocking will be deleted as a feature expected for direct messages.

Elon Musk, the owner of the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), recently announced the removal of the blocking feature on the platform. In response to some users who expressed their concerns about this change, Musk took a light-hearted approach and joked about blocking those who complain about the feature being removed.

In a tweet, Musk wrote, “Pretty fun blocking people who complain that blocking is going away. How does the medicine taste?” This tweet showcases Musk’s trademark humor and his willingness to engage with users on the platform.

Musk had initially announced the removal of the blocking feature in response to a user query about their preference between mute and block features. He stated that blocking would be deleted as a feature, except for direct messages (DMs), while users would still have the ability to mute others. Musk explained his decision by saying, “It makes no sense.”

Since Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform, there have been several changes introduced. These changes include laying off a significant portion of the workforce, renaming the platform from Twitter to X, introducing the Twitter Blue subscription service, and bringing in features like live streaming.

Musk’s approach to the platform’s evolution has often been unconventional and innovative, reflecting his unique perspective on technology and communication.

In a related context, former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced on X that he had deleted his Instagram account after using it for 12 years. He mentioned being one of the platform’s first users and investors. He also humorously pondered about who would receive the coveted @jack handle on Instagram. Elon Musk reacted to Dorsey’s post with a fire emoji.

The changes and interactions on the X platform, under Musk’s leadership, highlight his active involvement in shaping the direction of the platform and engaging with users in playful and engaging ways. As X continues to evolve, Musk’s influence on its features and functionalities remains a subject of interest for users and observers alike.
