    Yogi Adityanath Expresses Aspiration to Reclaim Sindhu

    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a National Sindhi Convention in Lucknow and expressed the aspiration to reclaim Sindhu, a province now located in Pakistan. During the convention, he emphasized the significance of unity and highlighted the impact of the Partition of India in 1947.

     

    In his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath drew parallels to the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, which is set to be completed after 500 years. He stated that just as Ram Janmabhoomi is being reclaimed, there is no reason why Sindhu cannot be taken back.

     

    The UP chief minister acknowledged the suffering of the Sindhi community during the Partition and stressed the importance of passing down the history and experiences of the community to the present generation. He also pointed out that the partition of India and Pakistan was the result of the stubbornness of a single individual.

     

    Adityanath highlighted the significant sacrifices and tragedies that occurred during the Partition, including the loss of lives and the displacement of millions of people. He expressed his stance against terrorism and extremism, stating that no civilized society can recognize such acts.

     

    He called for a commitment to the welfare of humanity and cited religious scriptures that emphasize the importance of protecting the good and eliminating evil for the benefit of humanity.

     

    The chief minister urged the people of India to prioritize the nation’s unity and integrity, taking the pledge of “nation first” to prevent the recurrence of a partition-like tragedy. He emphasized the need to respond firmly to anyone who threatens the unity and integrity of the nation.

     

    Adityanath praised the Sindhi community as an integral part of Sanatan Dharma and acknowledged its progress and resilience even in challenging circumstances. He cited the community’s success as an example of how individuals can rise to the top from humble beginnings.

     

    The address at the National Sindhi Convention underscored the importance of unity, history, and the shared commitment to the welfare of the nation in India’s diverse and multicultural society.

    Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continued his Ladakh tour by riding a motorcycle from Leh town to Lamayuru, known for its ancient monastery and stunning landscape. Covering a distance of approximately 130 km, Gandhi’s journey showcased his engagement with the region’s unique beauty and culture.

     

    During his Ladakh tour, Gandhi interacted with locals and explored the region’s diverse areas. He is set to spend the night in Lamayuru before moving on to Zanskar, a tehsil of Kargil district, on the following day. His visit to Kargil town is scheduled for the subsequent day.

     

    The 53-year-old leader’s motorcycle journey exemplified his connection with the people and the region. His arrival in Leh from the Nubra valley on a motorcycle garnered warm welcomes and cheers from the locals.

     

    Gandhi’s Ladakh tour, which began on August 17, is an important step in engaging with the Union Territory. This visit marks his first tour of the region since its transition to Union Territory status in August 2019, following its separation from Jammu and Kashmir.

     

    Expressing his sentiments on social media, Gandhi highlighted the spirit of unity that resonates among Indians. He shared his observation of the chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” echoing through the streets of Leh, illustrating the deep-rooted unity in the country.

    Notably, Gandhi’s tour included a ride to Pangong Lake and a stop at Khardungla, the world’s highest motorable road. His tour also featured stops at famous landmarks like the magnetic hill and the renowned Alchi Kitchen.
