An evening at a café in Gurugram’s Sector 90 turned into a nightmare for Ankit Kumar, his wife, and their friends when what was supposed to be a refreshing mouth freshener after their meal ended up causing them severe discomfort and health complications. According to a report by NDTV, after enjoying their meal at Laforestta Cafe, the group decided to use the mouth freshener provided by the restaurant. However, shortly after consuming it, they began experiencing intense pain, burning sensations in their mouths, and even vomiting, with one of them reportedly throwing up blood.

“We don’t know what they have mixed (in the mouth freshener). Everyone here is vomiting. They have cuts on their tongues. Their mouths are burning. Don’t know what type of acid they have given us,” Kumar was quoted as saying by NDTV.
