    Ajay Devgn is an Indian film actor, producer and director, who works primarily in Hindi cinema. He came into limelight with the movie Phool aur Kantee in 1991, which earned him Best Male Debut Filmfare Award. He has appeared in over 100 films and has won numerous accolades, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, the country’s fourth-highest civilian honour.

     

    Vishal Veeru Devgan (Professionaly Known as Ajay Devgn) was born on 2 April 1969 in a Punjabi Hindu family originally from Amritsar, Punjab. His father, Veeru Devgan, was a renowned Bollywood fight master, stunt choreographer and action-film director and his mother, Veena, is a film producer. His cousin, Anil Devgan, is a filmmaker and screenwriter. He studied in the Silver Beach High School, Juhu and then studied at Mithibai College.     In 2009, Karan Ramsay (Producer) filed a copyright infringement case against him over the script of the film All The Best. After the legal battle, the case went in favour of Ramsay, but Ajay’s production house claimed that their film was an official remake of an English comedy play, Right Bed Wrong Husband.
    Before the Diwali release of his film Son of Sardaar and Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ajay filed a legal complaint against Yashraj Films claiming that they had manipulated distributors and exhibitors in getting more screens for their film.
