Tragedy Strikes IIM Bengaluru: Ayush Gupta

Tragedy struck the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bengaluru when a 27-year-old student, Ayush Gupta, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. Ayush, a second-year student in the esteemed Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management course, had a promising future ahead of him. His untimely demise has left the IIMB community in shock and mourning.

 

Ayush Gupta’s journey at IIMB was marked by academic excellence and a keen interest in building strong connections with both his peers and the institute’s alumni. During his summer break, Ayush had the opportunity to intern at Faering Capital, showcasing his dedication to gaining practical experience in the corporate world alongside his academic pursuits.

In a heartfelt statement because of the tragedy on X, formerly known as Twitter, IIM Bengaluru conveyed its profound grief over the loss of Ayush Gupta. The news reverberated throughout the microblogging platform, with members of the academic community expressing their condolences and sharing fond memories of the young student. Ayush’s significant role as the senior coordinator of the Student Alumni Committee of PGP showcased his leadership abilities and dedication to fostering a strong bond between current students and alumni.

 

As news of the tragedy of Ayush Gupta’s passing reached other social media platforms, the institute also posted the sad news on LinkedIn. Here, numerous users shared their personal connections with Ayush, narrating heartwarming anecdotes and reminiscing about the times they spent together. It was evident that Ayush had left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

 

Beyond his academic achievements, Ayush Gupta was remembered as a popular and amiable student among his classmates, endearing him to the entire IIMB community. Ayush’s aspiration to pursue an MBA at IIMB after completing his graduation from BITS Pilani in 2017 demonstrated his determination to excel academically and pursue a successful career in the world of business and management.
