    Ranbir Kapoor is a renowned Indian Bollywood actor and producer. He made his Bollywood debut with the movie Saawariya. He is famous among his fans with the names like Daboo and Ganglu.     Personal Life :

    Ranbir Kapoor was born on 28 September 1982 in Mumbai, India. He is the son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. He is the grandson of great Raj Kapoor, belongs to a Punjabi origin family. Randhir Kapoor and Babita Shivdasani are his uncle and aunt. Actress Karisma kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are his Cousins. He has also one sister Riddhima Kapoor.

     

    Ranbir completed his school education from Bombay Scottish School, Mahim. In his school days, he was a very good football player and also played at a district level. Prior initiating his career in acting, Ranbir starred in two short movies India 1964 and Passion to Love. He afterwards started working with film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an associate. Ranbir assisted him the production of the movie Black. In 2018, he began dating Alia Bhatt. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally tied the knot on April 14, 2022, and had embarked on a new journey in their lives.

     

    Career :

    In the year 2007, Ranbir Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with the movie Saawariya alongside Sonam Kapoor. The movie was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, though failed to earn well on Indian box office. However, his stunning acting enabled him to win a Filmfare Award for the Best Male Debut for this movie. In the year 2008, he was appeared in Siddharth Anand’s movie Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba.

     

    In the year 2009, Ranbir Kapoor starred in three films. The first movie was Wake Up Sid, in which he appeared alongside Konkona Sen Sharma. His second movie was Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani alongside Katrina Kaif, it was one of the leading hits. His third movie was Rocket Singh : Salesman of the Year. In the year 2010, he appeared in a multi starrer political thrilling movie titled Rajneeti. In the same year, he starred in Siddharth Anand’s Anjaana Anjaani opposite Priyanka Chopra.

     

    In the year 2011, Ranbir featured in the movie Rockstar alongside fabulous actress Nargis Fakhri. His remarkable acting earned him a Best Actor Critics award at 57th Filmfare Awards. In 2012, he starred in Anurag Basu’s movie Barfi opposite Ileana D’Cruz and Priyanka Chopra, was his first release to earn over ₹1 billion at the domestic box office. His career prospect briefly improved in 2016 when he took on the lead role of an aspiring musician in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, co-starring Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai.

     

    In a collaboration with director Anurag Basu, Ranbir formed a production company named Picture Shuru Productions, whose first release was the musical comedy mystery film Jagga Jasoos. In 2018, He portrayed the actor Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani‘s biopic sanju, it emerged as one of Indian cinema’s biggest earners and his highest grossing release.     • In his younger days, when he was partying at a pub, he met Salman Khan there and while partying they had an exchange of words during which Salman slapped him.
    • He attracted controversy when he revealed that he was asked to “Get Lost” by Natalie Portman. He saw her at Tribeca, a film festival where she was busy on phone and crying, he quickly stopped her and said “I Love Your” and before he could say work, she said, “Get Lost”.

    He later founded his own production company, K9 Productions. In 2013, he started hosting his own comedy show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ under his production house that aired on Colors TV. The show ran successfully for three years, but due to some differences with Colors TV, the show ended in 2016. In 2015, he got the lead role in the Bollywood film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.     Controversies :

    In 2015, he was accused of misbehaving with his female co-stars during an event related to International Marathi Film Festival Awards 2015. Initially, he refused to comment, however, he later tweeted that, “I fall, I rise, I make mistakes, I live, I learn, I’ve been hurt but I am alive. I am human, I am not perfect but I am thankful”.     In March 2017, Kapil Sharma, who was reportedly drunk, was accused of being abusive to Sunil Grover on a flight from Melbourne, Australia. A few days later, Kapil admitted on Facebook that he had an ‘argument’ with Sunil and questioned the intentions of eyewitnesses who claimed that he had assaulted Sunil.

     

    In April 2018, he had filed an F.I.R. against his former managers Preeti Simoes and Neeti Simoes and the editor of entertainment news portal ‘Spotboye,’ Vicky Lalwani, for maligning his image in media. Later, the F.I.R. got leaked online and was shown by Zee News. Kapil also mentioned that Preeti had threatened him to pay ₹25 lakh or otherwise she will create more tension for him. Vickey Lalwani also filed a non-consignable complaint against Kapil Sharma for using abusive language and threatening him over the phone. Sharma even tweeted on Friday with objectionable words against Lalwani.
